Each year the VFLA sponsors two contests: The VFLA Essay Contest and the VFLA Poster Contest.

2013 VFLA Poster Contest for High School, Middle School and Elementary School students takes place in October. The winning posters are displayed at the fall VFLA Convention. Winners are also honored at a reception at the State House in Montpelier in the spring.
VFLA Essay Contest for Novice, Intermediate and Pre-Advanced levels takes place in January. Essay contest winners are also honored at a spring reception at the State House in Montpelier. Submissions are due in March. Click here for the 2013 Essay Contest Guidelines.
